SIT Certificate in Café and Bar Service - Level 2

To equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to operate at an entry level in the field of hospitality across a range of disciplines. It will allow students to gain the relevant industry licences that are required in the industry, such as a liquor licence and food safety certificate.

A minimum of 63 credits is required from the following:

13285 Handle and maintain knives in a commercial kitchen

14411 Provide reception services in a commercial hospitality environment

14420 Demonstrate knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and beverage service equipment

14422 Provide a beverage service to tables in a licensed commercial environment

14424 Prepare and serve alcoholic cocktails in a licenced commercial environment

14426 Prepare, take orders and serve bottled wine in a licensed commercial environment

14434 Prepare and clear areas for table food service in a commercial hospitality environment

14436 Provide basic table service in a commercial hospitality environment

14462 Maintain personal presentation and greet customers in the hospitality industry

14463 Check positions and handle cash floats and transactions in the hospitality industry
