The Diploma in Aviation Science integrates the practice of flying with the theory of management and is suitable for students wishing to have a career in the aviation industry. The programme is offered jointly by NMIT, associated aviation providers, associated Institutes of Technology and Griffith University (Queensland) to provide aviation students with the best possible combination of aviation training, science and management within one set of qualifications.
Ground courses (aviation theory), practical flying courses and aviation science, aviation management or business management courses.
All diplomas cover private pilot licence and commercial pilot licence (aeroplane and helicopter) and instrument flight rating (aeroplane only). Business management, aviation management or aviation science courses can be chosen, also in conjunction with Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Air Instruction for specific diploma qualifications.
