National Certificate in International Air Express - Level 3

The National Certificate in International Air Express is for people training for, and working in a range of different roles within, the international air express industry.

These roles fall into the following categories around which the strands of this qualification are built - customer service, ground operations, and operations.

People working in the customer services area are responsible for providing customer assistance at airports and advice at public counters at the airport.

People working in the ground operations area are responsible for airport maintenance and safety, and aircraft servicing.

People working in the operations area are responsible for identifying and actioning operational faults, aircraft parking and movement, and airfield safety and security.

The qualification contains core compulsory unit standards representing the competencies required by all those working in the international air express industry. The strands are designed to recognise specialist competencies and to allow people to select elective unit standards, in transportation and driving skills, suited to their areas of specialisation.
