National Certificate in Adventure Tourism - Level 4

The National Certificate in Adventure Tourism (Level 4) [Ref: 1099] recognises the skills required to prepare for and guide adventure tourism day trips with clients.

The holder of the qualification is able to provide first aid, prepare and deliver guided interpretation, and demonstrate knowledge of environmental awareness and the Quality Tourism Standards for adventure tourism. The qualification is intended for people training for a career, or currently employed, in the adventure tourism industry in New Zealand. The elective section allows people to select those standards relevant to their particular industry and organisational requirements. Sector specific achievement can contribute to an industry award (see special notes below). The National Certificate in Adventure Tourism (Level 4) [Ref: 1099] may provide a pathway to diploma-level qualifications in tourism.
