EIT Diploma in Advanced Aviation
The Diploma in Advanced Aviation is a one year full-time programme. This qualification further enhances the student’s career prospects by providing them with advance knowledge and skills. The aviation components have been planned to systematically build student skills and knowledge in line with the current regional airlines philosophy of pilot employment.

The Diploma in Advanced Aviation is delivered by EIT Hawke’s Bay in conjunction with Air Hawke’s Bay Ltd, a full-time and professional pilot training division and a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Hawke’s Bay and East Coast Aero Club Inc.
The programme also involves study of the nature of applied management. The Diploma in Advanced Aviation (Level 6) enables students to extend their responsibilities and combine their pilot licence qualifications with relevant applied management and business courses.
Students will study the theory and practical requirements of the following components;
Air Transport Approval
Advanced Internship
Advanced Navigation Instrument Rating
Basic Gas Turbine
Dangerous Goods
Crew Management Resource (CRM) and Airline Interview Techniques
Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) subjects
