Air New Zealand provides around-the-world air transport services but not everyone knows that the national carrier is also the largest provider of aviation training in New Zealand.
The Air New Zealand Aviation Institute is responsible for the training and development of the airline’s pilots, maintenance engineers, flight attendants and ground staff and is approved to provide pre employment training by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

Two distinct programmes are offered for school leavers or career changers wishing to enter this challenging industry.
• The Certificate in Airline Customer Service, for those wishing to join the frontline areas of the industry in a customer service role such as a Customer Service Agent, Contact Centre Consultant or Flight Attendant, and
• The National Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering (Related Technology) – Level 3, the recognised pre requisite qualification for entry into the industry as an aircraft maintenance engineer
