Ben Shirley: Food & Beverage Apprentice, Millennium Hotel Queenstown
What made you want to work in this industry? Who inspired you?
The opportunities to travel are a big plus, but I would have to say people. I enjoy helping people and this is a wicked way to do it. My inspiration came from my tutor at Southland Boys’ High School. Scott Richardson got me interested in hospitality in the way of competitions and functions/restaurant at school and I haven't looked back.
