Industry Information
Where do you see yourself working? There are 10 sectors within the aviation, hospitality and tourism industries.
The ten sectors are Accommodation, Aviation, Casinos, Conventions and Incentives, Cookery, Food and Beverage, Food Services, Museums, Tourism and Travel. Each sector is quite different to the next, yet all are connected, as together these sectors form New Zealand's Aviation, Hospitality and Tourism industry.
Each sector has its own page, outlining what the sector is about, as well as what you could expect to experience if you choose a career in this workplace. As well, for each sector, you will find interviews with individuals who are already enjoying success within their chosen field. This will give you some idea of what they get from their career.
Aviation, Hospitality and Tourism is mostly a people industry, so many of the job roles outlined in the Visual Mapper involve working with people. Some roles, which are key to the businesses within these sectors, are more about working behind the scenes, ensuring that product and maintenance are skillfully handled.
